Sailing with Paradise
and enjoy the tranquillity of boating as long as it takes you to rewind your body clock
Crewed with qualified, bilingual skipper, we offer sailing and nature experiences on voyages from
the ”new world” to the ”old world” by crossing oceans, travelling on rivers and through canals,
setting off mid-March, 2010.
You may book as many of the voyage’s segments as you like. As a paying crewmember, you don’t
have to worry about navigation and sailing, but will enjoy the opportunity to learn all aspects of
seamanship as we proceed northward.
In the beginning of
2010 we'll be sailing in the heart among the Caribbean islands, crossing the short ocean distances between them, enjoying their wonderful beaches, visiting the small villages and the larger towns.

Learning navigation
|
Everybody who participates, will for your own safety, be taught the details
about how to steer the boat, and the engine control functions. In addition we may teach you the
setting and the adjusting of sails. How to use the life saving equipment will be a mandatory lesson,
but we may also teach you how to put the dingy on the sea, and how to start and use the engine, the
anchoring routines, and the mooring routines. And not the least we may teach you which knots to be
used where and when, and at least of the same importance, about which knots that must not be used.
When sailing over open water, we will also give lessons in GPS navigation,
dead reckoning navigation, and celestial navigation for crewmembers who are interested. The most
crewmembers will obtain so much knowledge about how to use the sextant, that they will be able to
estimate positions after just a few days on board. We use an easy understandable compendium for
self studies, and for instruction. We will also set off time each day for practice in shooting
the sun and the star heights which may be used to a position fix.
